It Never Ends
Question:
Within the last two months, our family has suffered the loss of kitties Skeeter, Calico, and Mini. I’ve just returned from the vet with Sandy, our dog who periodically sends doggy-wags to those in need of purrs and prayers. She has a lump which proves to be breast cancer. Surgery ASAP may give her another year if it doesn’t spread to other organs or her brain. Prognosis, however, is not good and the malignancy will eventually end her life. At this point, I’m ready to give up. Jeanne
Response:
I am so sorry Jeanne. Are you sure it is malignant? We had a dachshund who got breast cancer. She had surgery and lived several years more. Don’t give up all hope. Oh Jeanne, I am so sorry. This just has not been a good year at all. Perhaps removal of the lump will lead to a better prognosis than you think right now. Many purrs and hugs. Karen

I’m sorry Jeanne, you’ve had awful luck recently. But please don’t give up, I know it hurts, but the legacy of Skeeter, Calico and Mini is a good home, a warm place to sleep, dependable food, and love on tap. There are thousands of animals out there who need all of those, and are aching to meet you. Here’s hoping for a miracle for Sandy. Jeanette

{{{Jeanne}}} I am so sorry! This is too much
I don’t know why sometimes these things happen so close together. I once lost three kitties in a 13-month period, and it left me devastated. I can imagine what you are going through right now, and I really feel for you. Wish there was more I could say to help. All I can tell you is that, somehow, I made it through, and I know that somehow, you will, too.
