the biopsy is scheduled the 20th of november.. the wait is killing me
Boy, do we all know what you mean! The waiting is nasty. Wait for the surgery, wait for the results, wait to begin treatments, wait for them to be over. Yuk. You have done and are doing all the right things! Hopefully, it will be benign but if not, catching it early is so very important in terms of prognosis. Please add my prayers to those hoping that it’s nothing. Take care. …lisa

hi all.. i have been reading these boards for a while.. i am a 46 year old who found a breast lump during a self-breast exam.. i had just been to the doctor for my physical 3 weeks prior and he did not seem to feel it.. well i did ,so i went back in and saw another doctor who said that he could not really feel much….. had a diagnostic mammogram and ultrasound.. both showed nothing.. however the oncologist radiologist felt the lump and suggested a biopsy.. i went to see a breast cancer specialist/surgeon.. he also felt it and recommended a biopsy.. since the lump is superficial ( located directly under the nipple)and small ( about the size of a pea) i will have a local anesthestic and have the biopsy done in his office..the biopsy is scheduled the 20th of november.. the wait is killing me.. i am having such a problem dealing with this.. my mother passed away from breast cancer when she was 36 years old and those memories haunt me… anyway thanks for letting me vent.. leslie
