Evening Primrose Oil and Estrogen Receptor + Conflict?

I have been told that if you are Estrogen receptor positive that you can’t take Evening primrose oil. I read it on a newsgroup a few months ago but never saw any facts to back it up. Any info? Charlotte Comer

I believe this issue surfaces every few months in the breast-cancer listserv…and YES, Evening primrose oil does have estrogen in it…which is a "no-no" as far as we know for those individuals who had ER+ tumors.
